The newest recreation amenity in the Town of Apple Valley is the Apple Valley Golf Course (formerly Apple Valley Country Club). Celebrating 60 years in 2008, the Apple Valley Golf Course has a long and celebrated history in the Town of Apple Valley. Hollywood stars like Bob Hope, Lawrence Welk and Desi Arnaz; championship golfers such as Arnold Palmer, Lloyd Mangrum, Tommy Bolt and Mike Souchak; as well as historic town founders Newton Bass and Bud Westlund have all spent their time on the fairways of the Course.
